Yes. Impact100 SA is set up as a sub-fund to the Australian Communities Foundation (ACF), which is a registered Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). Impact100 SA must operate in accordance to the legislative regulations of the ACF. The ACF administers all of Impact100 SA’s donations. Contributions made by June 30th are tax-deductible for the year preceding that.Who actually gets my donation?Your donation goes into a special sub-fund of the Australian Communities Foundation. When the Impact100 SA donors collectively decide which organisation should get the grant, the $100,000 impact grant is then paid directly (in its entirety) to that organisation.
Your $1,000 donation will be pooled with those of the other donors and used to make one high-impact grant of $100,000 to the organisation whose project attracts the highest number of votes from members. As a member, how much is expected of me?Donors can be as hands-on or hands-off as they like and they will all have the opportunity to be involved in the grant decision-making process. Impact100 SA is not only about responding to community needs, it is equally about providing educational opportunities to our members. Presentations by applicants and not-for-profit leaders will offer rare insights into the communities around us, thereby encouraging further engagement as donors, volunteers or mentors.
If there are more than 100 donors, more than one grant may be made. However, the principal grant will be $100,000.

Donations over $1,000 are very welcome, but the policy of ‘one member, one vote’ will still apply when choosing who will receive the $100,000 grant. Organisations that donate will get one vote and should nominate the appropriate contact person.

Our organising committee is a group of South Australian professionals in philanthropy, the financial sector and the not-for-profit sector who want to make a positive difference in their local community. You can find out more about the committee on the About Us page.
Your donation will go to the selected project in its entirety, thanks to benefactors who are meeting all administrative costs.

Each year the Impact100 SA Board and Committee Members, along with the help of ACF, manage all funds that our members to ensure that 100% of members funds go towards the chosen organisations.  You can see each year in the attachment.
